Year 12 & 13 Students FINALISTS at the StartInnova Conference

What a result!

The entrepreneurial projects, ECOSCAN and Organization of Studies and Work (OET), presented by Year 12 students of our school, have been selected as finalists in their respective categories, from a total of 44 projects from different schools of the Valencian Community, in the second edition of the STARTINNOVA initiative.

This program is promoted by the newspaper LAS PROVINCIAS to encourage and promote entrepreneurial spirit among young people in the educational centers of the Community and we are thrilled that our students have made it through to the finals.

The Little Big Jobs project is currently in 7th position in its category, with a splendid grade of 8.2. Well done Team!

The ECOSCAN project, carried out by Y12 students, Marina, Eva and Marc, all of whom form part of the Eilleen Collins team, have been awarded 5th position in their category (16-17 years). Their project aims to create an application for mobile devices (app) that allows the reading of the bar code of the food products and then identifying the product and providing the user with information of the ecological footprint that the product’s packaging . This information is critical in assessing the products environmental impact and giving the user full disclosure regarding the ecofootprint of their purchase.

The OET project, carried out by the students of Y13, Carlota, Melina and Helena, the Jane Goodall team, has been selected in 3rd position in its category (over 18 years), designed an online tool, which will assist and guide step by step in understanding all the alternatives individuals have when it comes to finding the necessary training to be able to enter your desired study and career path and thus helping to reach and achieve personal goals.

TODAY the selected teams will defend their project before a jury formed by experts of recognized prestige from the world of business, university and the promotion of entrepreneurial behavior, at the facilities of ESIC Business & Marketing School in Valencia.
