CREATIVE & PERFORMING ARTS

The Creative and Performing Arts Departments at The Lady Elizabeth School provide all of our students with the opportunity to shine, by painting, performing or some other means of creative expression. Pupils of all ages are encouraged to express themselves in a creative and natural way.

Choir

Both Primary and Secondary Choirs perform on a regular basis during School events but also in public. Singing has always been at the forefront of The Lady Elizabeth School music making, with soloists and other choir members being trained and given many opportunities to perform. Our Secondary Choir are always stunning in the Remembrance Day Service at the Fisherman’s Church in Javea. They also attend charity events throughout the year, delighting audiences of all ages. Rehearsals take place every week as they are often called on to perform either at School or further afield, sometimes with short notice. Christmas is a special time where the whole School, and the greater Lady Elizabeth community, are treated to carols and Christmas songs, performed by the Choir, to get them into the festive spirit. The Secondary Choir’s very busy academic year culminates at the International Arts Competition in Lloret de Mar, in Catalonia This is an exhausting but exciting end to a great year for all members of the Senior Choir who attend the competition.

The Primary Choirs also perform at different events throughout the year. They are split into Senior and Junior groups and rehearse on a regular basis. Parents are often invited to witness their progress throughout the year at morning assemblies and other school events. They are taught international songs along with other styles including a cappella.
